Open Doors USA Invites Public To View Historical And Current Work In China
SANTA ANA, Calif. (Dec. 15, 2008) – In 1955 Brother Andrew, author of God’s Smuggler and founder of Open Doors International, made his first journey smuggling Bibles into the former Soviet Union bloc. Since that time Open Doors has delivered millions of Bibles into countries all over the world. There have been many exciting stories along the way, and to document this, Open Doors USA has launched The China Experience.
The China Experience is a guided tour of Open Doors USA’s Heritage Room emphasizing Open Doors’ work in China. It will be open to the public starting January 2009. To celebrate the launch of this event, Open Doors USA is hosting The China Experience Grand Opening.
The event took place at the Open Doors USA office, 2952 S. Pullman St., Santa Ana, Calif. on January 12 from 2 to 5 p.m. The Grand Opening included a tour of The China Experience, a performance by California’s first all Home School Marching Band, a question and answer time with the Open Doors staff and a short talk by Open Doors USA President/CEO Carl Moeller.
“Open Doors’ work in China is rich with amazing stories of God’s miracles” says Emily Barrett, coordinator of The China Experience. “We are excited to share some of the ways that God has worked through The China Experience.”
